Dr. Carla M.A. Pinto is an Associate Professor with Habilitation at the School of Engineering, Polytechnic of Porto. Holding a Ph.D. in Mathematics, her research focuses on mathematical epidemiology, modeling, and public health policy, grounded in a background in nonlinear dynamics and bifurcation theory.
She is an editor for journals including Chaos, Solitons and Fractals, and serves on several editorial boards. Beyond her research, Dr. Pinto is active in mathematics education and Coordinator of Erasmus+ projects, currently coordinating the Teaching and Learning Lab at P.PORTO, since 2022.
