IES Santa Cruz is a public high school located in Castañeda, Cantabria. Its education supply covers Compulsory Secondary (ESO), baccalaureate and basic (electricity and electronic), midlevel (electrotechnical and automatic installations and administrative management) and upper-level (electrotechnical and automated systems) Vocational Training.
Pilar Sabariego received her degree in Mathematics from the University of Seville. Later, she obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Cantabria. Currently, she works as a Maths teacher at Santa Cruz high school and Maths part-time lecturer at the Degree in Primary Education Teaching and the Master’s Degree in Teacher Training in Secondary Education at the University of Cantabria. She also collaborates in the ESTALMAT program for students with high abilities. She has won several awards participating with his students in regional and national competitions. She participated with her students from its previous high school (IES Vega de Toranzo) in KIKS and STEMforYouth projects.
