Repository

The Open STEAM Group repository contains educational materials from the STEAM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). Most of the educational materials have been devised by adapting Thibaut et al.’s (2018a; 2018b) framework which includes five dimensions: 1) integration of STEAM content; 2) problem-centred learning; 3) inquiry-based learning; 4) design-based learning; and 5) cooperative learning. Educational materials have been classified in three categories according to the educational stages in which they should be implemented: Preschool, Primary and Secondary. Educational materials have been sorted also according to the STEAM disciplines involved when students implement them in order to facilitate the search for information.

Each activity included in the repository provides: (1) at least one teacher guide that can help you in the activity implementation, and (2) information about the implementation and materials developed by students. Materials have been mostly generated in the framework of the national project EAMARE-STEAM (Teaching and Learning of Mathematics in Adolescents at Risk of Exclusion: Instructional Intervention Through STEAM; FEDER/Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades – Agencia Estatal de Investigación/, EDU2017-84979-R), and the European projects: KIKS (Kids Inspire Kids for STEAM; Erasmus+, 2015-1-HU01-KA201-013611), STEMforYouth (Horizon2020, 710577), and STEAMTeach (Erasmus+, 2020-1-ES01-KA201-082102).

If you are a teacher willing to share your STEAM educational materials, or sharing content from the existing ones (e.g. guides for teachers/students and materials obtained from the implementation), please contact with us.
