A wind rose is used to view the most important geographical directions (North-South, East-West) and the secondary geographical directions (northwest, south west, northeast…) It is a drawing very common in nautical maps. Join the following challenges (1) to determinate the geographical north and to design and install a wind rose in the hall of the school; (2) to design the wind rose students used Draftsight Program (CAD Program, similar to AutoCAD). This project was designed in the framework of KIKS (Kids Inspire Kids for STEAM).
Materials developed by students
A group of students from Sánchez Cantón school determined the geographical directions, and translated the geographical directions from one place to another. This project was carried out in outside the regular lessons, and guided by a teacher (Jose B. Búa).
