Dr. Carla M.A. Pinto is a Coordinating Professor at School of Engineering, Polytechnic of Porto (ISEP). Her research interests include the study of epidemiological models and Agile/Active-Learning Methodologies for Teaching Mathematics in Higher Education. She is a certified and licensed eduScrum representative in Portugal, and contact person of SEFI-Mathematics Working Group in Portugal. She is also the coordinator of the Group in Mathematics for Engineering Education for the Portuguese Society in Engineering Education. She is the co-founder of Agile in Education Europe. She was/is Coordinator of Erasmus+ Projects, namely DrIVE-MATH and MATH-DIGGER. She was/is researcher of other I&D projects. She has published more than 150 papers in international journals and peer-reviewed conferences. Her h-index is 20 and i-index is 43. She was the subdirector of the Department of Mathematics of the School of Engineering, Polytechnic of Porto, from June 2012, until November 2020.
